Dragon Warrior - Tiger Wizard
Warlock Roc - Bat Alchemist
The Mad Dungeon podcast has two formats. First, members of Epic Levels and a guest from the RPG community create a system-neutral, playable one-page adventure map using improv, comedy, and lifetimes wasted on roleplaying games. They then publish and release these adventures as a PDF through their Patreon and for free on this very site. They also release Side Quest episodes where the hosts discuss games they’ve played and gaming news.

“You stand accused of crimes against orcdom!” The PCs have been captured and brought to the volcanic orcish city of Zajar Mal to stand trial. Will your dwarven public defender Anoya get you through this bureaucratic nightmare of gladiatorial fights and iron gut contests? Or, will the orc prosecutor, Cruelty DeKill be able to prove your weakness with surprise witnesses and violent objections to the dishonorable Judge YouDie and an unwitting jury of kidnapped citizens?
This week’s guest is Tim Kask. He was hired by Gary Gygax as the first employee of TSR and helped establish Appendix N, the backbone of the Dungeons & Dragons OSR. He was editor of Little Wars & The Strategic Review, which later became The Dragon, and then Dragon Magazine. He edited the original D&D rules: Eldritch Wizardry, Gods, Demi-gods & Heroes, and Swords & Spells. Tim now hosts his YouTube show Curmudgeon in the Cellar where he answers the internet’s questions about Od&d and the early days of TSR. Tim drinks Sparkling Ice with caffeine and NOS orange… like a true gamer.
